The project was born form a competition for the masterplan of the collective spaces and buildings organized by Gorgonzola municipalità on a great urban value private area, where the old town meets Naviglio Martesana.
A close sinergy between buildings planning (new and pre-existing, as neoclassical Pirola palace) and open spaces planning is the fundamental choice of the project. The new building defines urban space’s hierarchy; on the top there is the square facing the Martesana. The masterplan was realized with executive projects done by other professionals.
